About the Role

As a court administrator, you play a central role in the court's daily operations. Together with a dedicated team of administrators, judges, and clerks, you contribute to ensuring that cases and matters are handled legally and efficiently. Main Responsibilities

The work is diverse and independent. Your tasks include:

  • Handling cases and matters together with judges and clerks
  • Planning trial days and calling for hearings
  • Managing correspondence
  • Issuing judgments and decisions as well as performing other administrative tasks
  • Writing proposals for various types of decisions and judgments
  • Maintaining daily contact with parties, representatives, authorities, and the public
  • Minutes-taking at hearings, in some cases

About You

In the role of court administrator, you are meticulous, independent, and deliver high-quality tasks. You have a strong ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. You are solution-oriented, independent, and enjoy responsibility, while also contributing to the team's common goals.

Requirements

  • Completed and approved upper secondary education
  • At least one year of experience in administration, or other experience deemed relevant by the employer
  • Good computer skills, including the Office suite
  • Very good knowledge of spoken and written Swedish
  • Ability to speak and understand English

Meritorious

  • Experience in administrative work from a government agency/public sector
  • Post-secondary education relevant to the work, e.g., paralegal education

About Us

Södertälje District Court is a medium-sized court with about 45 employees. The court is divided into two case departments and one administrative department. The court strives to be an open and modern workplace with engaged employees. The court is centrally located in Södertälje with proximity to public transportation.

Practical Information

The employment is a permanent position starting with a six-month probationary period.

To be considered for employment, you must meet high standards regarding judgment, security awareness, and suitability. This means that you stand up for democratic values and the principles that govern the operations of the Swedish Courts. We require that you comply with applicable laws.
